So, you should probably buy this

There’s occasionally some weirdness with pricing as Steam rolls out new deals for its holiday promotion and, as a result, I thought for sure that Don’t Starve‘s price for today — an absurd $1.19 — was an error. It was, sadly. But even at $5.09, it’s well worth owning.

Daily deals:

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops II ($29.99)
  • Hitman: Absolution ($4.99)
  • Prison Architect ($14.99)
  • Don’t Starve ($5.09)
  • Orcs Must Die! 2 ($3.74)
  • LEGO The Lord of the Rings ($7.49)
  • Resident Evil 6 ($11.99)
  • Portal 2 ($4.99)
  • Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag ($44.99)

For flash sales right now, we’re looking at Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon ($5.09), The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Game of the Year Edition ($4.99), Skullgirls ($7.49), Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes ($19.99). The current community choice winner is the squad-based roguelike Steam Marines ($2.49), while the next deal will be either The Stanley Parable ($10.05), Civilization V ($7.50), or Total War: Rome II ($29.98). Be sure to vote for free Snow Globe cards!
