Steam rolls out new week-long deals

Just take the wallet and leave, Steam. No one has to get hurt

Digital-distribution platform Steam has begun hosting week-long deals, starting with four titles that are 50 to 75 percent off until February 18 at 10:00am Pacific. The games in question are an assorted bunch: FlatOut ($1.87), Steel Storm: Burning Retribution ($2.49), Alpha Prime ($1.25), and Karateka ($4.99).

Not exactly something to write home about, though I will say that the very notion of week-long deals is enticing. It’s not like I’m checking in on Steam every daily to see what’s been discounted — thank goodness — so having a bit more time for the word to get out sounds good to me.
