Steam Next Fest returns in October

Play demos and discover what developers are working on with Steam Next Fest.

Throughout the year, Steam hosts several events where you can score big savings and discover more about the future of gaming. One of those events is Steam Next Fest, and it returns soon. It’ll run from October 9 at 10:00 AM PDT until October 16, 10:00 AM PDT, giving you seven days to explore hundreds of demos and hear from developers discussing their upcoming projects.

Steam Next Fest October 2023 will feature hundreds of upcoming games

We don’t have a full list of games that’ll make an appearance just yet, but participating titles must include a playable demo by the time the festival begins, and the release date must fall after October 16. The event trailer reveals that you can expect a variety of demos, with the following games receiving mention:

  • Stronghold: Definitive Edition
  • Looks Good

  • Mike’s Garden
  • An Action Roguelite for when you have 20 minutes to spare
  • Checkmate Showdown

  • Rolling Fur – A Cat Puzzle Adventure
  • Doggy Don’t Care
  • Below the Stone
  • A Date with Death
  • Against Great Darkness
  • A Webbing Journey
  • The Last Exterminator
  • Relentless Frontier
  • Love’s Crescendo
  • Lose Ctrl
  • Arcane Assembly
  • Battlecore Robots

If you don’t want to miss the event, you can set a reminder on Steam. Keep an eye on Steam after the event too because there are several more events planned for the year. In November, you’ll be treated to the Return of Steam Scream Fest and Autumn Sale. The following month, you’ll get big deals with the Winter Sale.
