StarCraft Ghost was apparently never canceled

Old school Blizzard fans may remember the classic tale of the “canceled” game StarCraft Ghost, a third-person shooter that puts the player in the shoes of the famous unit from the StarCraft franchise. It was one of the bigger “is it real or isn’t it?” conundrums of gaming history, and it appears as if all hope isn’t lost.

Chatting with Blizzard’s Matthew Berge, OPM may have discovered a crazy realization — the project still isn’t dead. Apparently after asking about the project off the cuff, Berger responded: “It’s on hold. It has never been cancelled.” Now, take this all with a grain of salt of course, as it’s far from a confirmation that the game is still seriously in consideration.

Still, if done right, I’d totally be down for a solid third person shooter set in the StarCraft universe.
