Splinter Cell PC delay has nothing to do with DRM

Word from Ubisoft earlier in March pegged Sam Fisher’s PC return date in Splinter Cell: Conviction as April 30th, two weeks after the Xbox 360 launch of the game. It turns out that the reason for the delay, as Eurogamer has discovered, has nothing to do with Ubisoft DRM or elit3 hackers. Chock it up to another round of polish.

“The reason that has been given for the delay is that the extra time was need to polish and debug the game,” a publisher said, adding, “The slip has not been linked to the DRM.” And an extra round it needs if that GameStop commercial advertising the pre-order silent shotgun is representative of the final product.
