Welcome back, webheads. Spider-Man’s Web Shooters are back in Fortnite for the first time in years.
Alongside the reveal of a clip from Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Spidey himself, Tom Holland, announced that the popular Mythic items are now returning to the game for the first time since Chapter 4, season 2.
I remember these items being a blast to play with when first introduced, allowing players to swing around the Fortnite island like the wallcrawler, making for one of the most fun mobility-based mythic items in the game’s history.
To mark the occasion, new Brand New Day Spider-Man skins look to be hitting the shop, with footage confirming his new suit from the movie along with a customization that allows you to take off the mask and show off Holland’s mug. And there’s also a new Hulk variant and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, who are also in the film as well, joining the battle.
I haven’t hopped on Fortnite in quite a while, so I’m definitely going to be back to use the Web Shooters again and potentially (probably) add the new cosmetics to my collection. Look, I know there are several other Spider-Man variants in the game. But this one is different, okay? Leave me alone.
The movie releases everywhere on July 31, but the shop will be updating the day prior.
