How to complete Speedrun Crash Course in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Meet Hercules and Phil in the dark woods
After finding and chatting with Hercules near the end of the Moonlighting as a Hero quest, he’ll run off to meet up with Phil. Head back into the dark woods to reunite with this duo. Chat with Phil once you find them to discuss next steps.
He decides the group will try to get help from Hermes, starting with attempting to make some special flying shoes for you. This means your next task is to get out there and find the required resources to do so.
Catch all the Pegasus Feathers
First up, you need to focus on finding and collecting five Pegasus Feathers. These are small, sparkling feathers found floating around the dark woods area. Look for golden sparkles to spot them, then chase after them and press the button that appears next to the “Pick Up” option to grab them. They move around quite a bit, so you have to act fast here.
If you’re having trouble obtaining them, try eating some meals to max out your energy bar. This will allow you to glide around, helping you move fast enough to catch them with ease.
Break Winged Boots out of a marble pile
Next, you need to track down some Winged Boots. They’re stuck in a marble pile somewhere around the dark woods. You’ll come across many marble piles as you explore, but only one of them has the boots, and when you find it, you’ll know since they stick up out of it.
For me, the Winged Boots were in a marble pile near the very back of the woods, close to two stone pillars lying on one another. Once you find this marble pile, equip and use your Royal Pickaxe to free the boots.

Return to Phil
Once you’ve got the five Pegasus Feathers and the Winged Boots, trek through the dark woods to meet up with Phil. Chat with him to share what you found and figure out where to go from here. Then, follow him over to the Arena, where you previously ran an obstacle course during the Moonlighting as a Hero quest.
Place the Winged Boots and Pegasus Feathers on the Hermes Pedestal
Inside the Arena, locate the Hermes Pedestal, which is the sparkling one that has a wing logo on it. It’s also right behind Hercules. Interact with this pedestal to place the Winged Boots and Pegasus Feathers as an offering for Hermes. Then, chat with Hercules nearby about how nothing seemed to happen in response to your offerings.
Gather all Legendary Ingredients
Hercules suspects that Hermes might want a bit more of an offering before he’s willing to help out, so he suggests cooking him up something special. Your next mission is to gather all five Legendary Ingredients from around the dark woods so you can cook up a Legendary Meal.
- Aegean Delights can be found in the pond at the bottom of the grand waterfall close to the Realm entrance, which is the same spot where you previously fished up the Moon Headband.
- Legendary Goldfish can also be found in the same pond as the Aegean Delights.
- Greek Cheese can be found on the ground behind a mineable rock on your right after entering the side of the dark woods you ventured into to find Hercules. There’s some regular Cheese on the ground close by, but only one item that counts as Greek Cheese, so make sure you pick up the correct one.
- Greek Fruits and Veggies can be found on the ground next to a long lounge chair in the dark woods.
- Giant Lettuce can be found on the ground close to the same long lounge chair where you found the Greek Fruits and Veggies.
Cook a Legendary Meal for Hermes
Once you’ve got all five ingredients, head to the fire pit close to the Arena’s entrance to get cooking. It might be blocked by some Hephaestus Coals on the ground, and if so, you’ll need to equip your Royal Shovel to clear them away.
Toss in all five ingredients once you’re ready to make the meal. Then, bring the Legendary Meal over to the Hermes Pedestal, where you put the Winged Boots and Pegasus Feathers earlier on. Your offering worked this time around, and you can now grab and equip the Winged Boots from the pedestal to progress.
Start the Hermes Obstacle Course
Now that you’ve got some handy new gear, it’s time to give it a test run by starting the Hermes Obstacle Course. Interact with the start line to the left of the Hermes Pedestal to get going. For this one, you’ve got five minutes to get it done.
It’s a lot tougher than the last one, but it still feels like plenty of time, so you shouldn’t have too many issues here. If you run into any problems, though, you can check our run of it below for help getting through the more difficult parts.
Return to the dark woods by interacting with the Hermes symbol
Your shiny new boots grant you the power of fast travel, so once you’ve finished the obstacle course, interact with the sparkling wing symbol on the ground nearby to instantly teleport over to the dark woods. Then, chat with Hercules nearby.
Go through the storm
Now that you’ve gotten familiar with the flying shoes, you can use them to navigate the deadly storm blocking your way forward. Walk over to the same spot where you first met Hercules, close to the edge of the cliff just outside the dark woods. Interact with the sparkling Hermes spot on the ground to instantly teleport through the storm.
Once you reach the other side, Hercules and Phil will follow. Talk to Hercules once he makes it over there to assess the situation together. As soon as you do, the Speedrun Crash Course mission will end, and the Thunderstuck quest will begin. You’re now even closer to unlocking Hercules and Phil, but there’s still quite a bit of work to be done before they’ll be ready to join your valley.
