Spec Ops: The Line and The Darkness II are playable on Xbox One

P.B. Winterbottom too

Three good but very different Xbox 360 games are newly playable on Xbox One today.

There was no shortage of cover-based shooters during the last console generation, but Spec Ops: The Line cut through the noise with its poignant story. The Darkness II was another chance to tear people apart with demonic tendrils, an opportunity that should always be cherished. And The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom, a puzzle game about paradoxes and pie, was just plain fantastic.

There’s work to be done, sure, but the Xbox One backward compatibility list continues to impress.

Also, let us never forget that Faith No More’s Mike Patton voiced The Darkness.
