Snipperclips is outselling Zelda on the Japanese eShop

Zelda has been selling like hot cakes physically, but what about the digital front? Well, there’s four other games above it in Japan according to Nintendo.

Based on an official ranking from Nintendo’s site, their top five best seller list includes Snipperclips, Minecraft, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Kamiko, and Zelda. This list takes all sales into account from the Japanese eShop’s launch in March. It warms my heart to see the former in there, as it’s a pretty underrated gem in the west — not many folks I know have pulled the trigger on it or even know what it is.

The full list below has a few interesting tidbits, like the fact that Arms is in the top 10 despite its recent launch, and that Shovel Knight is still kicking years later on a brand new platform. Right now the Switch is pretty healthy, let’s see if Nintendo can keep that up.
