That new PSP Yakuza series game — Black Panther Yakuza New Chapter or whatever it will be called here — comes with a bonus item when purchased at Japanese retailer Bic Camera. It’s the Kurohyou Original Kai Razor. It’s…just a razor, and it comes in a box that features the game’s hero, Tatsuya. They’ve done a razor preorder bonus with company Kai before, but I still don’t get it.
Other outlets in Japan, like Geo, Joshin, Tsutaya and WonderGOO are getting some more sensible bonus items in the form of DLC cards. These cards have game art on them. When inputted into the game you’ll unlock fun content like hostess costumes. There’s a China dress from Geo, a beige school girl outfit from WonderGOO, and a maid outfit from Joshin.
Of course, as Andria Sang points out, these pre-order DLC examples shows us what Yakuza PSP’s DLC will be like. You’l be able to edit parts of your character, changing weapons and outfits. You’l also earn special moves via password. Finally, there’s the hostess costumes.
Yakuza PSP comes out in Japan on September 22nd.
