Season two of Path of Exile’s race events announced

Easier to earn unique loot, hooray!

Path of Exile, the free-to-play ARPG that you should really be playing has just announced its second season of events called “races.” These events are, as you might expect, a race between players to see who can get the furthest, in both levels and story, the fastest. Earning certain milestones, like reaching a certain level or being the first to enter an area, earns players points which can be cashed in for unique loot and serious bragging rights.

I participated in about four races in the first season, earning a whopping total of zero points. I couldn’t even reach the lowest level milestone to earn a measly point! Even if I had earned a few points, the threshold to earn the first item was too high for chumps like me. This has been addressed, as now the first prize only takes seven points. That’s seven more than I have ever earned, but seeing this has definitely motivated me to try harder.

Grinding Gear Games has added more races to help people in more time zones as well, and you can check out the schedule, complete with the prize list, here.
