Screens and more details on Persona 2 PSP

This morning we learned of a newly launched website for Persona 2: Innocent Sin, a PSP port of the PlayStation RPG that just recently came to Japan. It is now confirmed for North America this Fall. Now we have more information on the release, straight from Atlus, along with some new screenshots and boxart from the English language version.

The ‘other half’ of Persona 2, Innocent Sin, has never seen release outside of Japan. Shin Megami Tensei fans will finally get their hands on this large chunk of missing Persona past after 12 years. What great news to wake up to!

This PSP version will be presented in a new 16:9 aspect ratio to take advantage of the system’s wide screen. We’ll get a game that takes advantage of the system’s improved horsepower and visuals, so expect improved resolution.  Atlus says we can expect “superior audio” over the original, and that players can select between the original or newly remixed soundtracks. The game will sport a new interface and new sidequests in the Climax Theater. Also, all five party members can be controlled in this version.

Innocent Sin is an important part of the Persona series’ past, so it’s great to see that we’re finally getting it. I can’t wait to finally dig into this game.
