SNK’s great feudal fighter Samurai Shodown will finally make its Nintendo Switch debut – in Japan at least – on December 12, as reported by yesterday by Weekly Famitsu.

The article also confirmed that the Switch port will run at a full 60 frames-per-second and support single Joy-Con support per player, so you can Ippon with a buddy on the go. Far more surprisingly, Early purchases will include a digital download of Neo Geo Pocket Color title Samurai Shodown! 2.

There’s currently no news as to whether Samurai Shodown for Switch will arrive in the west during the same time frame, but we will, of course, keep you informed if new information comes through. Samurai Shodown is available now on PS4 and Xbox One, arrives in Japan on Nintendo Switch December 12, and will be ported to PC in future.
