Salivate over these Dokapon Journey screenshots

Recommended Videos

I am absolutely in love with Dokapon Kingdom on my Wii. Its unique blend of board gaming aesthetics and RPG elements infused new life into my tired old console and I play it all the time. It may be my favorite game for Nintendo’s white box and I highly recommend that anyone who hasn’t bought it yet to do so immediately.

So, I’m positively chomping at the bit for any and all content relating to the DS iteration of the game, Dokapon Journey. Atlus was kind enough to bestow some new screenshots on us today and I really like what I see. I love that the characters have gone from polygons to sprites because it looks so much better for it. And it appears that we have a bunch of new characters as well as some new minigames to play.

When PAX rolls around, you can bet your ass that I’ll be hitting up anybody who has this game for a round. I’ve already pre-ordered from Amazon in preparation for its April 14th release. What say you? Will you be grabbing this one as well?
