RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 slides off Steam and GOG

You can still play if you own it, but it’s not for sale right now

You don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone, and this week our dear old friend RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 is missing. The theme park management sim is unexpectedly no longer available for purchase on PC.

The game still has a landing page on Steam, but the store listing on has straight vanished. It could be a while before it resurfaces on digital storefronts, too. As first reported by TMZ, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 developer Frontier is currently suing publisher Atari over a years-old royalty dispute.

Just the other day, I went down an existential train of thought about what my Steam library — or any long-running digital platform — might look like decades from now. It was an unpleasant experience, to put it mildly. And it only grows more unpleasant as my list of games becomes more bloated.

Here’s a much-needed pick-me-up to keep the dread at bay:

Ahh yeah, that’s the good stuff.
