Roblox Dig Progression Guide

Know how to dig the right way.

Roblox Dig has a very unique and casual way of progressing. Even though you can level up and unlock things, it’s not just about being the highest level. There are a lot of factors to consider when “digging” your way to the top, so we made this Dig Progression Guide to help you out.

How to progress in Roblox Dig

For the most part, you should dig in the area until you have enough money to earn for the highest-rated shovel. In essence, this means digging in Fox Town until you buy the Lucky Shovel, digging in Cinder Shores until you can afford the Bell Shovel, digging in Verdant Vale until you get the Jam Shovel, and so on. Refer to our Roblox Dig All Shovels if you need to know where to go next. Simply dig around, look for the glowing holes that always have rarer items, and try to progress and earn money. Don’t worry about buying the best car, because the ATV will do just fine until you get the best shovel.

To make your journey less monotonous, you should also do the following as you’re digging:

  • Always work on a few quests
  • Always fight bosses

Many NPCs you meet will have one or two quests for you. While these are nice and all, a couple of NPCs in the game have repeatable quests that not only give you extra money and XP, but also access to exclusive items.

The first of these NPCs is Cole Blood, the leader of the Combat Guild. ALWAYS have a Combat Guild quest (Bounty) on your quest bar. Most of the time, this will be something like “Kill a boss”. Seeing how bosses can spawn at any time, it’s a good idea always to be prepared beforehand. You can check out more info about the Bosses and the Combat Guild in our Roblox Dig Boss Guide.

The other person who will always have a quest for you is Old Tom from Tom’s Bakery. It’s located on your way to Cinder Approach when traveling from Rooftop Woodlands (inside a cave tunnel, you can miss it if you’re going too fast). Tom will always have a quest for you. Most of the time, it’s as simple as digging out a few items, a few items with a modifier. Sometimes, Tom will give you a quest to gather several hard-to-find items, but even then, you should still do these quests because the rewards are great. By doing Tom’s quests, you can also unlock an exclusive shovel and even pastries, which give you temporary buffs.

In short, always make sure you have a Combat Guild and Tom’s quest, dig in each area until you can afford the best shovel, and then move on. Finally, whenever a boss spawns, drop anything you were doing and go defeat it with the other players.

That’s all there is to it. Have fun progressing in Roblox Dig. If you’re looking for a different Roblox game, check out Roblox GHOUL RE.
