Resident Evil 7’s Xbox One X patch is out to make the game extra spooky

If you’re an owner of Microsoft’s new machine and have been dying to try Resident Evil 7 in upscaled 4K, then this patch is for you. Released just a few hours ago, Xbox One X gamers can now experience last year’s survival horror romp in slightly higher graphical fidelity over base owners. The official listing does not have 4K mentioned, so chances are this won’t be a native 2160p experience.

You can take a gander at some graphical differences via the video below, though viewing it at 1080p probably won’t showcase much difference. This doesn’t seem to be a massive overhaul, containing pretty much all the same graphical assets, so I’d chalk it up simply as a resolution boost.
