Don’t throw things, but I PixelJunk Eden on the PlayStation Network was one of my favorite downloadable titles of 2008. Yes, I enjoyed it more than Braid and World of Goo — sorry, Internet!
So when Dylan Cuthbert, the President of PixelJunk‘s developer Q-Games promises two to three new games from the company in 2009, I get excited. Cuthbert offers no details, making this one of the first teases of the New Year, and a nasty one at that. But considering the PixelJunk games have gotten consistently more interesting and larger in scope — starting with the straight-forward slot-car PixelJunk Racers to the stunning Eden — this bodes well.
I wish I knew what was up their sleeves for 2009, but I’m not even going to try to guess. Instead, I’m just going to wait patiently. While you’re waiting, check out our review of PixelJunk Eden and my interview with Cuthbert from last year.
OK, you know what — I’m done waiting. Is this new stuff out already, or what?
