One of the first major NPCs you can meet in Probably Stolen, Eleanor visits the store after having her life thrown upside down by a conspiracy and finding refuge at the Lower Levels.
The game then allows you to see her story through and help her along the way via a few key choices. Here’s a full walkthrough for Eleanor’s quest in Probably Stolen.
Probably Stolen Eleanor quest walkthrough
Following her first appearances at the store, Eleanor’s quest will progress automatically no matter whether you sell to her or buy any of her items, with its first key event playing out within your third to fifth week (depending on RNG). The event sees a new NPC claiming to be her uncle visit the shop with a ”care package”, which must be delivered to her and her alone.
You will now be given three choices: accept the package and deliver it to Eleanor, accept the package and keep it, or read the signs and call security on the NPC. You can check out what each option will result in below.
- Accept the package and give it to Eleanor: If given the package on her next visit, security will approach the store and arrest Eleanor, revealing it to be a successful attempt to frame her and ending her story/quest.
- Call security on ”Eleanor’s Uncle”: Security will come and arrest the NPC for the stolen crate. You will receive the usual Credits for reporting. On her next visit, you will alert Eleanor of the attempted framing.
- Accept the package but keep it: Nothing will happen, and Eleanor’s story will resume following a few usual visits. You will be able to sell the package or its contents at will.
With the crate taken care of, Eleanor will return to the store after a few days, now resolved to take matters into her own hands and find the truth behind her mother’s imprisonment. To progress through her quest, help her accumulate 850 Credits by purchasing her stock. There’s no time limit here, so don’t feel rushed.

After raising the necessary amount, Eleanor will visit the store again, revealing that her mother was framed after discovering a way to grow Nutrifruits with seeds, something that can break the corporations’ hold on the population. A new NPC will also visit the store shortly after, asking you to persuade Eleanor to turn in her mother’s research in exchange for the latter’s life and 300 Credits.
All Eleanor quest endings in Probably Stolen
Your choice during Eleanor’s next visit then decides her future and ends the quest. Here are the possible outcomes:
- Persuade Eleanor to accept the demands: Eleanor will turn in the research. She will be reunited with her mother, but the corporations will come out on top. You will be gifted a SYNC Self-Refilling Neuroactive Perfume and receive the promised Credits.
- Advise her to make the research public: Eleanor decides to honor her mother’s legacy and leak the research to the Lower Level Paper, even if at an unimaginable cost. She later joins the resistance to continue fighting back, now having found a new purpose. You will also receive the SYNC Self-Refilling Neuroactive Perfume.
