PopCap announce a bunch of merchandise licensing deals

Do you happen to like PopCap’s franchises like Plants vs Zombies and have wondered to yourself, “Gee, why can’t I find much PopCap merch?” Well, even if you haven’t, sister site Tomopop has posted about PopCap’s licensed merch announcement, and the little figure zombies and plants you see above are just the tip of the iceberg.

There will be plenty of T-shirts, bags, pajamas, wall decals, posters, calenders and figures from companies like BioWorld, Trends International, Funko, Jazwares, Walls360 and MjC International. Though most of the promo material features Plants vs Zombies, PopCap intends to eventually expand licensing across its entire catalog. So yes, Zuma fans, your day shall come.

When asked if PopCap was considering DLC bundling with its future merchandise, Tomopop got the standard, “I can’t say one way or the other,” answer. It’s easy to get pessimistic and think that reply means there’s DLC bundling coming in the future, but we’ll have to wait and see what PopCap and its partners end up doing. Even so, does this bit of news excite anyone?
