Research is the foundation of your park in Planet Zoo 2. Whether you are adopting a new creature or building an advanced enclosure, if you do not invest in research, you will not get the job done.
In this guide, I will explain how research works and cover all the different types of nodes to activate.

Planet Zoo 2 Research explained
Research is the key to unlocking new items inside the game. This can be a new species that you want to add to your zoo, or different conditions you can apply to your exhibits. Finally, you can also research different diseases and their cures to ensure your creatures stay healthy.
You can even unlock new content, though there’s not much, but it is essential to improve your enclosures and attract more visitors.

All types of Research in Planet Zoo 2
At launch, there are over 200 topics to research (the actual list might increase when we get more species).

Here are some quick descriptions of all four categories and what you can expect.

| Species | These allow you to unlock specific animals and other items that allow you to take care of them better. |
| Enrichment | Allows you to unlock Food and Toy Enrichment items. |
| Disease | Spread across three stages, allows you to diagnose and cure diseases better. |
| Education | Get additional educational topics to display. Also unlocks interactive stations for the visitors. |
