Online services entering into the public beta phase often have issues. In the case of Sony’s groundbreaking, innovative, and wildly entertaining Home, the kinks have been somewhat severe. Over that last week many fans have reported getting odd errors upon trying to sign into the landmark service, as well as experiencing a gamut of network issues while actually inside the game.

A few days ago, Sony director of corporate communications and social media, Patrick Seybold, told readers of the official PlayStation blog to practice patience in regard to the network problems currently plaguing Home:

[The problems are] due to overwhelming demand for the service as people access Home for the very first time since it became Open Beta and appeared on the XMB. While we prepare solutions to ease the problem, you may continue to experience difficulties accessing Home. We kindly ask for your patience as we work to meet the incredible demand for this revolutionary service.

Considering that it has been a few days since the announcement, I decided that I would try to sign into Home ten times. I got bored after it worked three times in a row. Are any of you still experiencing issues with Home? Have your practiced “patience” when you couldn’t get in?
