People thought Capcom was teasing Dragon’s Dogma 2, but it’s just another smartphone game

‘Project Palm’

For the past week or so, folks have been anticipating “Project Palm,” a new game from Capcom. Noting similarities between Dragon’s Dogma magic abilities and the mysteriousness of the trailer, it would have made sense for the publisher to unveil a follow-up to Dragon’s Dogma Online, which is apparently doing very well overseas. Nope, it’s just a smartphone thing that has nothing to do with medieval fantasy!

In fact, several days ago Capcom made sure to note that it was a “smartphone game for girls,” quickly dashing any hope of anything cool coming out of it. Thanks to a debut trailer, we now know that it’s an adventure game of sorts, with voice actor Yuichiro Umehara in the lead role. The idea is to have players “feel” like they’re talking to him in-game and connect with him.

So Capcom can we still get Dragon’s Dogma 2? Or maybe a DDO localization?
