The generous folks at Penny Arcade have just announced that their scholarship is now open and accepting applications for the 2009-2010 academic year.
The Penny Arcade Scholarship was established in 2007 to give a $10,000 reward to an applicant that desires to make a positive impact in the videogames industry. To apply, you’ll need to submit a two-page essay describing how you intend to benefit the games industry. Submissions have to be in by June 15th, so you need to get on it!
You’ll have to be attending a U.S. college already, though. That means that high school seniors will have to wait a bit. Of course, you’ll have to intend to enter the games industry at some point, too.
