Meet The Wastelander

As part of today’s Xbox and Bethesda Games showcase live stream, Activision Blizzard dropped a new trailer from its epic upcoming team-shooter Overwatch 2. As part of the presentation, the publisher announced that the barrel-blazing sequel will enter Early Access on October 4 as a free-to-play title.

Alongside the above info, we also got our first look at the next character headed to the huge Overwatch roster. The Junker Queen — described accurately by our own Chris Carter as “a Moyse design” — is a long-time lore OW character, who fought their way up through the Australian outback to become ruler of the Junker haven known as “The Pitt” — home to Overwatch heroes Junkrat and Roadhog.

Overwatch 2 enters Early Access on PC and consoles October 4. You can find an abridged timeline of the ongoing Activision Blizzard controversy, investigation, and response right here.
