Our top 10 must play games of PAX East 2014

See what our favorite games of the show were!

Despite an overall smaller show than in years past, PAX East still had a great amount of games worth seeing. A big reason for that was the Indie MEGABOOTH, a segment of the show that’s slowly getting bigger with each passing trade show. In fact, a majority of team Destructoid’s time was spent looking for gems to play there than anywhere else on the show floor.

Here were our top ten games that everyone at the show needed to get their hands-on:

With PAX, we only select games that were actually playable by show attendees. This was also the first year where we are no longer giving repeat awards to games that have received them in past PAXs. Hence why titles like Hotline Miami 2, Transistor, Crypt of the NecroDancer, and so on, didn’t get anything this time around. These games look fantastic, don’t get us wrong, but we want to spread out the love as much as possible going forward.

So if you’re still at PAX, go play all these games right now! Otherwise, check out our previews and general coverage coming all week long.
