Integrated statistic tracking and social networking features with videogames is no new concept, even in the racing genre, but the road warriors at Codematers look to be adding a lot more to their RaceNet with the upcoming release of GRID 2.

RaceNet does have many features found in most of its contemporaries; easily viewable player and race statistics, global leaderboards, and weekly challenges for players, to name a few. One of the most interesting and unique features that the feature has to offer is uploading videos to share with friends and rivals alike, along with a comment system in place for some nice cordial conversation with your fellow racers.

I think that the addition of uploading race videos is a fantastic feature, especially for racing game fans. You can relive the glory of your victories or study the moves of your opponent in order to get the upper hand. Oh, the cars look nice too.
