Enslaved is a game I am very excited about. While Ninja Theory’s previous effort, Heavenly Sword, disappointed me greatly in the gameplay department, its animation, story and bizarre set of eccentric characters really stood out to me, and I have been looking forward to the studio having another crack of the whip.
If you did not know, Enslaved is a modern day take on the famous Chinese story Journey to the West. Machines built for a long-forgotten war still roam the Earth, carrying out orders from a civilization that destroyed itself years before. A man known as Monkey becomes enslaved via a Wedlock-style collar in order to help a woman return home. Cue an uneasy alliance, plenty of acrobatics, and killer robots.
It’s really looking promising, and I hope to learn more soon. This concept art post was really more of an excuse to mention the game again.
