Oddworld Inhabitants has announced that its latest foray into the Oddworld universe, Oddworld: Soulstorm, is currently in development for Xbox platforms, following on from its previous release on PC and PlayStation in April of this year.

Oddworld: Soulstorm is a full remake of the 1998 PlayStation release Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus and serves as a direct sequel to 2014’s Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty, which itself is a remake of 1997’s Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee… Still with me? After a lengthy development period, Oddworld: Soulstorm released to middling reviews from critics and fans.

While many were impressed with the remake’s wonderful visuals and excellent cinematic sequences, a slew of technical issues and bugs frequently upset the action. The developer has since patched in several updates to fine-tune the experience and improve upon the title’s initial release state.

Oddworld: Soulstorm is currently in development for Xbox platforms. It is available now on PS4, PS5, and PC.
