In a recent survey by the NPD Group, it was found that the average videogame player has 48 titles and 11% of those gamers have unopened titles. The survey was given to 562 videogame players, all of whom were made to lie on the floor and swear that they wouldn’t fib about their videogame collection. If they were to mess with the numbers with dishonest replies, they would be carted off to a retinal research facility.
Around this time of the year, I feel bad for my unopened games. While I’m always excited to have a ton of new and great titles, there’s a substantial issue of time involved. Right now Fallout 3 is staring at me and gently calling my name.
Do any of you have unopened titles? If you don’t, do you think you’re getting the full experience out of every game you own when staring down the barrel of the release frenzy unfolding over the next few weeks? How do you manage?
