Atelier Annie is just the sort of game that I never expect to see released in the US. Not because of the anime stylings, as those can fare pretty well here, but because of the gameplay, which is best described as a resort-building sim meets an alchemy RPG.

The game’s been out in Japan since March, but NIS America has just announced it for a US release in late October. Alongside the announcement of Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love getting localized as well, it seems gamers that are interested in something a little off the beatenpath should start to look more towards NIS America to bring them what they want. Some of us sure do appreciate that, even if these games don’t sell a billion copies!
