Nintendo is running a bizarre ‘concierge’ service that teaches you about the Switch for three hours for free

It’s official!

If you just picked up a Switch in these trying times (make sure you gran an egg first), you’re in luck! Nintendo wants to teach you how to use it…for free!

Stealth-announced this week to little fanfare, Nintendo just rolled out a new program called “concierge,” where you can schedule a “one-on-one meeting” virtually with a Nintendo rep to go over your system. Nintendo offers “classes” from games (getting started and what to play next), security, Nintendo account info, and customization.

Each class runs 30 minutes, and you can do them individually or in a string, if you can schedule them. All you need to do that is head to this site here and pick a date and time. Like a lot of wacky Nintendo ideas, this one was probably divined by some executive, and may or may not survive the year. This is even referred to as a “pilot” program on the site.

That said, this isn’t completely new. Tech companies occasionally offer tutorials like this, including Amazon in the past for products like the Kindle. Either way, if you have three hours to kill (or 30-minute chunks), it’s a free thing you can do now!
