Nintendo DLC: Clocks, calculators, toasters, and more

If you don’t know what time it is, have trouble balancing your check book, and love Mario, this week’s DSiWare releases are for you. Mario Calculator (1 “player,” 200 DSiPoints) and Mario Clock (1 “player,” 200 DSiPoints) are available today, and they’re exactly what they sound like. One is a calculator featuring a Mario-related theme and sounds, the other is a clock… featuring Mario-related themes and sounds. Be “that guy/girl” who spends four dollars of their money on these things at your own risk.

WiiWare brings three exciting releases, however, the first of which is Eduardo the Samurai Toaster (1-4 players, 800 Wii Points). We’ve covered this one extensively, so if you’re looking more information, take your pick. Taito will also be bringing Rainbow Island: Towering Adventure! (1-2 players, 800 Wii Points) to the shop today. A spin-off of the beloved Bubble Bobble series, you’ll be making rainbows in an effort to climb vertical tower stages. Finally, Sega’s catching game (yes, a catching game) called Let’s CATCH (1-4 players, 1,000 Wii Points) will also be available. Heads-up: Owning Let’s Tap (available in stores this week) will unlock special features in CATCH.

Sega is also rearing its head on the Virtual Console with this week’s release, Space Harrier (1 player, 800 Wii points). This is the arcade version of the title, which can be used to complete your collection — both the Sega Genesis version of Space Harrier II and the Master System port of Space Harrier are available as well.
