The Nintendo DLC train does not stop running, even for Christmas. They have a nice lineup of titles to play over your Christmas break this week.
For the first time on the Wii, via Virtual Console, Mario Party 2 drops. I remember playing this on the Nintendo 64. I got lots of mileage out of the one cart with its four player minigames, so it’s nice to see it’s only 1,000 Wii points. It’s a great party game. Check out Luigi cheating in the video above.
On WiiWare we have Frobot (1,000 Wii points). You play as a love robot that blasts his way, disco style, through the city to save his five girlfriends. Funky. There’s a free demo, so be sure to try it out. Cosmonaut’s incubator defense game (?) Inkub is also out on WiiWare this week, for 500 Wii points.
There’s lots of DSi systems under trees this week, so it makes sense that there’s four DSiWare titles. Don Bluth’s lovely Dragon’s Lair II hits the DSi for 800 points. Cosmo Fighters supports demo sharing via download play, and can be purchased this week for 500 points. Paul’s Monster Adventure, a game where you save once powerful bosses by helping to refuel their lost energy, is the same price. Finally, and just in time for Christmas, Just SING! Christmas Vol 2 his the DSi. This 200 point game has you singing holiday classics right into your DSi mic.
