Following Orders is the third mission of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4‘s campaign, and you can find a red safe. Once you find the safe, you can open it with the correct code, but the game doesn’t necessarily tell you where to find it or what the code is.

How to find the Red Safe in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Following Orders
When the mission begins, you’ll find yourself interrogating a couple to find where the defector is. Instead of interrogating them, head to the room on the right. It’s the first room on the right when you enter the house.
Head inside, open the cabinet, and you’ll find the Red Safe over there. When you find it for the first time, it remains locked. You can simply shoot at it, but using a code is the easier way to get it done.
Red Safe Code in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4
The correct code is “214”. This code is the same for all scenarios, and it will open the safe. You have to use your arrow keys (assuming you’re on PC like me) to scroll and input the code.
Inside, you’ll find two items.
- A note. There are four notes you can find in this mission, and it’s one of them. Finding and reading 50 notes allows you to make progress towards one of the in-game achievements.
- A contraband. These are illegal items that you can find in the campaign, and they’re also part of the in-game campaign.
Once again, you can complete the mission without opening the safe, but I liked how it fits in the lore.
