Nielsen: Daily console used increased 14% this year

There’s no surprise in hearing that I’m playing more games than before, but I am surprised to hear that this is the case for everyone. Nielsen’s Cross-Platform Report says that time spent each day on a game console increased 14 percent over last year. That’s a big jump! What caused that? Better games? More options? Or is it just that gaming is still growing. Whatever the reason, be sure to go outside for a bit and get some fresh air, okay?

Nielsen’s report is full of interesting little bits of info. For example, game console use in TV viewing homes is increasing. For some reason Baltimore was found to have the highest videogame console penetration. Here’s another strange one: People in TennesseeKentuckyMississippi and Alabama spend the most time watching video on the Internet.
