Ni no Kuni delayed, still no US release date announced

Recommended Videos

You may recall me losing my pants over the Studio Ghibli/Level-5 project Ninokuni: The Another World late last year when pictures and video started to surface for it. Sadly, we haven’t heard much on this Level-5 DS title since, and I was concerned that perhaps it wasn’t coming at all.

Today Siliconera reports that the game is coming, however, it is going to be delayed until Spring 2010. Andria Sang also confirms the Japanese voice cast has been revealed and that the game will be playable at this year’s Tokyo Game Show. Guess who’s doing the hands on for that, folks?

There’s also been no news whatsoever of a US release, which infuriates me especially since Level-5 is clearly doing well with the Professor Layton franchise and Studio Ghibli films are doing fairly well in America. On the other hand, if the original Japanese version of the game is delayed, I’m sure a US version is even further from Level-5’s minds. Maybe I’ll be importing this one …
