Nexon to publish EA Sports’ FIFA Online 3 in Korea

PC online soccer game EA Sports FIFA Online 3i is coming to Korea later this year with the help of its publisher there, Nexon. The world’s biggest publisher of free-to-play games has an agreement with EA to publish this title, giving them entry into the sports game market.

FIFA Online 3 uses about 15,000 real players from 30 leagues and 40 teams worldwide. EA says that the PC game adds new techniques, improved AI, enhanced animation and 5-on-5 multiplayer. 

Min Seo, CEO of Nexon Korea Corporation: “The EA Sports FIFA series is the absolute gold standard for soccer games and we are thrilled that the new game will be published through Nexon. We think EA Sports FIFA Online 3 will ignite the sports genre in Korea, offering fans a truly authentic gameplay experience.”

A new placeholder webpage lists August 13th as the launch date for the title.
