Understandably, seeing a free downloadable content pack for Call of Duty might immediately make you think the content you receive is bad. However, Combat Pack 2 is undoubtedly worth it.

The following items come in the new package:

  • Lockpick operator skin
  • 2 weapon blueprints
  • Charm
  • Sticker
  • Calling card
  • Emblem

Modern Warfare 3 is discounted on all platforms

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3

In addition to the free content pack, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is also discounted on PS5 and PS4 right now. It’s currently available for $48.99, down from $69.99. This discount isn’t exclusive to PlayStation Plus members or the PlayStation platform. PC and Xbox players can also buy the franchise’s latest installment at a 30% discount for a limited time.

The Vault Edition of the game is also discounted, currently to $79.99, down from $99.99. At a 20% discount, this one adds an operator pack, a tracer weapon blueprint, two weapon vaults, and one season of Blackcell with 30 tier skips for the battle pass. If you’re particularly interested in the cosmetics that come with the Vault Edition of the game, it can be quite worth it.

Buying a Blackcell battle pass with 25 tier skips right now costs $29.99. Doing some quick math shows that with the standard edition of the game at 30% off would be $78.98. So basically you’d get the extra cosmetic packs and five more tier skips for an extra dollar. If fancy cosmetics don’t interest you, there’s no reason to buy anything but the standard edition.
