New Splatterhouse screens and soundtrack details

Splatterhouse lives! Original set to release at the end of this month, Namco Bandai’s retro revival title has been quiet for a while, but we’ve been given a fresh batch of screenshots today, along with soundtrack details. Also, the game’s now on track for November 23.

The soundtrack contains songs from such diverse bands as Terrorizer, Municipal Waste and Goatwhore. I’ve barely heard of any of them and diplomatically choose to say that this music “isn’t quite my thing.” If they want to throw in an Electric Light Orchestra song, I’ll be all about it!

Is it just me, or do these screens look vastly improved from previous ones? I’m detecting much more of a cel-shaded comic book style vibe than earlier shots. It’s starting to really look like a contemporary game now!

The Accused – “Pounding Nails”
ASG – “Dream Song”
Cavalera Conspiracy – “Must Kill”
5 Finger Death Punch – “Dying Breed”
Goatwhore – “Apocalyptic Havok”
The Haunted – “Hollow Ground”
High On Fire – “Fire, Flood & Plague”
Invisible Enemies – “Dead Eyes”
Lamb of God – “Walk With Me in Hell”
Mastodon – “Blood and Thunder”
Municipal Waste – “Rigorous Vengeance”
Mutant Supremacy – “Morbid Dismemberment”
Terrorizer – “Dead Shall Rise”
WolfShirt – “Headlong Into Monsters”
