New on Steam: Subscription plans for MMOs and the like

And the option to limit your download rates

Recommended Videos

In a new feature rollout, Valve has added the ability for developers to incorporate subscription plans within the digital-distribution client. In other words, users can sign up, manage, cancel, or renew their game subscriptions without leaving Steam. Headlining this feature is MMORPG Darkfall: Unholy Wars, a game that you are now aware exists.

Elsewhere on the platform, the ability to manually limit the rate at which files are downloaded has been introduced in a beta capacity. Find this new bandwidth setting in the Downloads tab of Settings. More customization would be welcome, but it’s nice to finally see this option.
