New NES emulator displays classic games in 3D

My mind can’t comprehend how this works

3DNES, a new web-based emulator for the Nintendo Entertainment System that displays games as if they were made in 3D, has been publicly released in beta form. As you can see in the video above, it isn’t always perfect, but man does Dr. Mario and Mega Man look damned impressive; better than some of the 3D Classics available on 3DS even.

The emulator currently only runs in Firefox and requires a URL link to an NES ROM. So get your legally dumped ROMs uploaded and give this a spin if you’re so inclined. I’ll certainly be trying it later tonight.
