New Brawlout footage shows off pro level gameplay

From Super Smash Con

I was able to play Brawlout at Super Smash Con, and really took to it. Sure it was an early build with some tweaks to iron out mechanically, but already in its alpha state it’s impressive. Developer Angry Mob Games has decided to share some tournament gameplay from the event, and you can get a good look at some of the advanced mechanics as a result.

Olaf, the giant boxer-like character that utilizes ice attacks was my personal favorite. One of the developers on-hand noted that they drew inspiration from a lot of games, and in the case of Olaf, Mortal Kombat was cited as an influence. For those of you who just see Smash and nothing else, there’s a lot more there under the surface, so I suggest giving it a shot when you get the chance (it’ll be a PAX West this week).

Brawlout is scheduled for a 2017 release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
