MW3 player advises against purchasing ‘ridiculous $80’ King Kong Beast Glove

There are better uses for your money.

A Modern Warfare 3 player took one for the team and spent $80 to acquire the exclusive King Kong Beast Glove melee weapon, and the verdict was as expected.

In what’s become a growing relationship, Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone launched a new collaboration with Godzilla and King Kong in Season 3 to celebrate the latest MonsterVerse movie, which was released at the end of March. The CoD store added one bundle for each monster: Shimo, Godzilla, Star King, and King Kong.

Players who purchased all four operator tracer packs unlocked the exclusive Beast Glove melee weapon. Each bundle costs 2,400 CoD points, which is equivalent to $20, bringing the total cost to $80 if you purchase all four (each bundle also includes its own set of bonuses/items). At the end of the rainbow, Community members expected the King Kong glove to come with unique animations and camo options, but they were sorely mistaken.

A frustrated MW3 player took to Reddit and explained why buying all four bundles was a mistake. “It doesn’t do anything special. I thought it would at least ragdoll enemies, if not launch them, and you can’t even equip camos over it,” the OP argued. “If you were interested in the melee blueprint, save your money. It is not worth $80.”

Community members thanked the player for confirming suspicions. “Over $100 CAD for a melee weapon is f**king insane, a player responded. “Thanks for your sacrifice, OP, and I am sorry.” Other users couldn’t wrap their heads around the devs demanding so much money for a lackluster weapon with no standout qualities.

“Thank you for your service. But you had to have known they just wanted your money for the least effort, a second player argued. “It really blows my mind that you can’t put camos on it.” Activision goaded plenty of community members into taking the plunge this time, but it appears several players learned their lesson and won’t make the same mistake next time.
