Monster Hunter Stories is getting three more amiibo

Bringing the count to six

I hope you really like Monster Hunter, because the total amiibo count for the series just rose to six.

Announced by way of Famitsu, Capcom is adding three more figures to the mix — Qurupeco and Dan, Barioth and Auyria, Rathian and Cheval (each combination consists of one rider and one monster). They’ll be sold for 1,800 yen on December 8, which is roughly the equivalent of $17 each. Monster Hunter Stories, a more pared down spinoff that focuses more on characters and story, arrives on October 8 on 3DS in Japan.

As I’ve said before I think this is where I draw the line when it comes to amiibo — it’s just too much, and the premium cost isn’t great (doubly so if we have to import these). You can find a full updated list of amiibo here.
