Capcom has revealed a release date for the next major update for the hugely popular fantasy adventure Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak — As revealed yesterday, Title Update 4 will launch on PC and Nintendo Switch platforms Tuesday, February 7.

The new update will bring with its a slingload of new activities, quests, and, of, course, towering beasties. Eager hunters can look forward to throwing down with the terrifying Ice Wyvern, Velkhana, who dedicated fans will remember from Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. And if that isn’t enough of a trophy for you, then Title Update 4 will also add the (clumsily titled) Elder Dragon, Risen Crimson Glow Valstrax, which is making its series debut, and is ready and waiting to offer you a (very) warm reception.

In addition to the new prey, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will be receiving a slew of new Anomaly Quests, with A8 Star Rated missions, Anomaly Investigations up to Level 20, all new Event Quests, and new features for the Qurious Crafting mechanic including new crafting limits, as well as additional new items to take out onto the battlefield. You can check out all of the pertinent details to this free content on the official Monster Hunter Rise blog.

Capcom has also lifted the lid on a variety of paid DLC cosmetic content with a new bundle that includes several new emotes, hairstyles, Palico designs, layered armor sets, face paints, and voice packs for the player characters. New skins will also allow you to rock the funny, doodly style of the Monster Hunter guide avatars — Lance and Ran! Also in the mix are amusing chiptune versions of the main theme, so you can get all nostalgic about the 8-bit era as Valkhana tears you limb from limb. Delightful.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is available now on PC and Nintendo Switch. It is currently in development for PlayStation and Xbox platforms, and is scheduled to arrive this spring.
