I thought I was done with Minecraft for good, but an augmented-reality mobile game could be the precise thing to pull me back in after all these years. Earlier today, Microsoft began teasing Minecraft AR with the promise that more details will be shared on May 17, 2019 the game’s tenth anniversary.

The short teaser depicts a woman outside of the Washington State Convention Center picking up a phone and seeing a mud-caked pig on the sidewalk through the wonders of augmented reality. The screen even shows a sword, bow, apple, lump of coal, and other familiar Minecraft icons. Microsoft previously flirted with the general Minecraft AR concept through its on-stage HoloLens demonstration.

Given the massive success of other AR-centric games like Pokémon Go, this could be huge. Like, people-wandering-the-streets huge. We’ll find out what exactly this Minecraft mobile app entails soon enough.
