Microsoft’s inviting members to test next Xbox One update

Maybe you could be that cool kid with early access

The Xbox One rolled out with a number of confusing design decisions that irritated users. An update released last week that made the system’s storage layout more transparent, enhanced the queue feature, and added a battery life indicator. March’s update focuses on multiplayer and the party feature, and Microsoft needs some help testing it out.

Microsoft’s inviting select Xbox One owners to essentially beta test this update and future updates. Those that are selected will receive an Xbox Live message with a token to register. For these participants, the patch will go live next week. Others have to wait until sometime next month, probably right around the same time Microsoft releases a huge system-selling competitive multiplayer first-person shooter, whatever that could be.
