Yesterday, Nyko announced its Zoom add-on for Kinect. It adjusts Kinect’s camera to allow those with smaller rooms to play it, but Microsoft isn’t very happy about it. In fact, it’s warned customers that using the Zoom could mess with the careful alchemy behind Kinect.
“Kinect has been tested for performance, accuracy and environmental conditions thoroughly,” said a spokesperson. “Any modification can impact the overall performance of Kinect.”
This is likely just Microsoft covering its bases, but way to shit all over Nyko’s parade.
