An all-out color assault
When Microsoft bombarded us with a barrage of upcoming games at its 2013 E3 press conference, one of the titles that stood out was Insomniac Games’ Sunset Overdrive. Maybe it was because of the bright color palette, maybe it was due to the quick parkour movements, but Sunset Overdrive just looked flat-out fun.
Hopefully it is fun, because by most accounts, Xbox One’s stable of launch games isn’t necessarily cutting it. In a celebratory post commemorating the console’s launch, Microsoft mentions that Sunset Overdrive is slated for 2014.
Of course it’s vague and details are sparse, but it’s just nice knowing that this one isn’t getting lost in the shuffle. Sunset Overdrive seems like one of the games that you look forward to playing when you buy an Xbox One.
